New in New Mexico

Just got a new K-5II and some lenses. So far it's been great especially here in the beautiful southwest!

Tnx - I've been in Taos for 50 years. 'The Land of Entrapment' is a well deserved nick name. Welcome aboard.

My wife and I used to get away on weekends to Taos. It was so wonderful. We stayed a a little motel, with about 8 little cabins and huge trees. It was on the road going out of town to the east and the guy who owned it was named George, so we always went to 'Georges' in Taos. He eventually had to have both his hips replaced and then he sold it to some one for whom the property was too important for the locals, tore all the cabins down and built a ritzy European type day spa that only the 0.02% can afford. Taos became so Californicated (and I am originally from the San Francisco of the late 50's) that we just stopped getting away to Taos.

But, Oh Boy, New Mexico. I love it here. We just discovered that the art museum in Roswell, of all places, is fantastic.

Thanks for the welcome. My name is Charlie and I think yours is Frank, right?
