Obviously I am new to this forum. Being a rookie at digital photography I hope some of you experienced guys can occasionally help me out. I look forward to learning more.

Welcome to the forums. We were all rookies at one time. I do not know whether you're completely new to photography or just digital photography but I would suggest subscribing to forums like this, watching photography-related videos on Youtube, reading photography books, asking questions. There is a site that offers you the chance to watch photography classes live as they are happening for free and it is called CreativeLive. I'm entirely self-taught at photography so the way that I learned (and am still learning) learning photography is that I downloaded some photography videos and books.

There is also a beginners' section on this forum where most of your questions have already been answered in detail by the loyal members of the forum. You can search that particular area for specific questions using the forum tools > search.

Thanks for the welcome. I just bought my first dslr (Pentax K100d) and I am bound to learn how to use it. I purchased the Magic Lantern Guide for my camera and I am practicing with it. Thanks again for the welcome.
