To all,
I've been following this site for while and now decided to register, since I'm officially back to Pentax gear.
Merry Christmas and a great 2014 for everyone, with (hopefully) a lot of good news from Pentax.

Hello, Yos.
I recently bought a K-5, used but in mint condition (and with less than 4000 shutter actuations, to be precise). Together came the "usual" DA-L 18-55. Also bought a DA 55-300 used. This gear replaced a Canon system that I've recently sold (with absolutely no regrets) and joined my "film days" Pentax equipment: an MZ-5n and a SMC A 50mm f/1.7 and also a FA 28-105mm f/3.2-4.5.
It's an humble re-entry, but a very comforting one.
I only wish Pentax would build a better (and more reasonably priced) standard zoom. I once owned a Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 (for Canon) and its performance was brilliant, all in a compact and solidly built package. The DA* 16-50mm is just too big and expensive... and the reviews are not too favorable either.
But in the end, all that matters are the pictures, which I expect my new camera to deliver, if its owner does the job right, of course...
