Happy Holidays everyone. Pentax fan finally joining the forum.

I've been a Pentax owner all my life and every time I was looking for info Google results always led me here. Weird I never joined
I own a dozen different models of Pentax SLR's. Mostly they in mint condition as I bought them as collectibles. Some I took out of the box only once or just to show friends once in a while.
And now that I'm ready to move from SLR to DSLR for the first time (I'm kinda slow, obviously) hope I can get all the help I need here.

Welcome to the forum, another Pentax veteran is always most welcome, I do hope you find what you need here, if not just ask.

Don't worry about being "slow". I'm going backwards. I started out on digital and now I'm trying to learn film.

Well, I know how to use a digital and I can definitely shoot a decent picture, but I'm just tired of not having something decent in the digital world photographyguy74. I don't even know how I stayed behind for so long but I'm really excited to learn a new instrument. It is kind of confusing though. Right now I'm going crazy choosing a starting camera. K5 vs K30 vs K50 vs K500. Each one has something I want. Any pointers?

Unfortunately, I'm not the one to ask for pointers on Pentax DSLRs. The only Pentax camera that I have is a K1000SE. My digital camera is a Canon.

Well, you definitely chose the right camera for film. I have a K1000 and it is a great camera that takes beautiful pictures for sure. No wonder they made it for over 20 years.

I definitely like the K1000 but I haven't had much of a chance to take it out. It's been way too cold here for me. I think I'm becoming a pansy in my old age.
