Hi there...new to the forum...just pulled out my ist DL (purchased in 2005) to start investigating if I should hang on to it or trade up. I'm not really sure what it's worth (excellent condition) and I've got two lenses (18-55 and 75-300)...wondering if those can be used on a newer Pentax.

I used to be really familiar with this camera but I'm feeling a little out of my element right now!

Time to start reading through the forums...

Keep the lenses and get yourself a k-30 or k-50.............

I have a DL. I outgrew it. I Still have it and occasionally use it. I upgraded to the K-30. I love it. The things it will do that the DL won't or struggles to is unreal. Your lenses will work on the newer bodies.

Welcome to the forum, aye bodies come and go, but good glass is forever... well 'till LBA kicks in and you fancy a better one.

That's why it pays to buy the best in the first place, well that's how I sold it to my better half on more than one occasion.
