Hi From California

Hi,

I'm brand new to this hobby and trying to absorb as much as I can. I'm sure most of you have forgot more then I know about photography.

I started researching cameras in Oct of 06 and looked at the Nikons, Canons etc., and ran across some information on the K10D. After looking into the K10 and reading comments on different forums, I decided this is going to be my first camera. The camera is on order and it's scheduled to arrive in early Feb.

I'll be asking a lot of silly questions becasue I'm a real rookie.

Hello and welcome!
for a first camera the K10 is a good choice.... but you will need a little more time to learn it then an "entry" DSLR like the K100.
there are lots of people who own the same camera as you.... including myself (still in the learning process)
feel free to ask questions, not to many go unanswered here

Welcome to the forum. Just getting started here myself and have already learned a ton just by reading old posts. Seems like this is a great place to learn photography with a bunch of great people.

Like all others here, I try to help where/whenever I can. I'm a K100D owner, but common things like shutter, speed aperture, lenses, etc. is where owners of other cameras like me can help. Surprisingly some users have even gotten help with some computer problems here - LOL.

Look forward to seeing pictures from your new toy!
