Hello from NW Wisconsin.

Hi Everybody,

Just purchased a K10D (my 1st DSLR) and 50mm f1.4 lense, which should arrive in a few days. And am buying the 77mm f1.8 limited from Genes Pentax. I'm pretty excited to get out and start taking pictures with my new gear. Haven't used a Pentax since my days on the high school yearbook staff long long ago.....but their glass is oh so sweet, and their recent DSLR's look like photographic champs. Recently converted to digital from medium & large format film. Happy to be here, looking forward to getting to know you folks..

Regards, Johnny9fingers....

I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I just bought a K10D myself a couple of weeks ago and I love it. It's my first SLR although my dad has a K1000 that he doesn't use. I inherited his lenses from that camera, including a Takumar 70-200 mm which I love.
As a student I'm saving up money for a good flash and a nice tripod at the moment but I have other economic priorities as well so it will take a while.

A few years back was swiming with family and friends. I jumped off a pontoon boat and my pinky finger got caught on a hinge for the side rail door. I went in the water, my finger stayed on the boat.
