obligatory first post!

Hi All,

It's been a pleasure getting to know your enthusiasm and robust knowledge of everything Pentax. So thank you, and hello.

I am a beginner, but also enthusiastic. Five years ago, I found a Sears Super KSX in Mom's attic with 50mm f1.7, 135mm f2.8, and 200-400mm f4-whatever lenses. Having never used anyhting but a point-and-shoot or disposable, I took this camera on a cross-country road trip and figured out how SLRs worked. Needless to say, when I got the photos developed at a crappy walgreens on the West Coast, I was hooked forever.

That camera got me through 3 years, the light burns getting more and more drastic, until it was a washout. I bought a used K-x for $250 and here I am, stalking this forum for lens information.

Happy shooting!

Josh

Welcome aboard.

There are enough lenses to fit that camera that you can indulge your LBA as much as your budget will allow.

Welcome! The amount of excellent vintage glass out there can quickly make the LBA bite, so be careful - it's a slippery slope!

Welcome, Josh.

Thanks for the great introduction. Have fun with your K-x, and please don't hesitate to ask any questions about lenses. We're only too happy to spark your LBA (lens buying addiction).

Craig
