Hi there

Well, I've waited almost three years to get a pentax! Wanted one for that long and had to scrimp and save..... until I finally got me a secondhand k100! Got some nice lenses for it and now can't wait to get into it properly! Had a Fuji bridge camera (s5500) for many, many years. Got myself into photography with it, and now I've moved up to dslr.... I'm looking forward to getting involved with this forum. I've used it plenty of times when looking up stuff about pentax.

Oh I started with a Fuji S6000 and F20... Moved to a K100d myself. It has been quite a ride through manual focus oldies and now some better AF lenses. And of course the K-01 and Kx

Cheers and welcome aboard...

Thanks I do, however, now have a serious question! Using bulb mode is an adventure! Namely because the camera makes a funny whirring noise and there is a physical, repetitive, knocking inside the camera whenever I try it. I've tried it with a smc manual lens and also the standard kit lens. Both produce exactly the same thing! I suspect a fault. Anyone else come across this?

I should add that the camera does have its pc connection pushed in, by the previous owner. Apart from this, the camera works fine. Problem with the internal electronics perhaps? I've added a few shots of today's trip to the sea in my album, and have notice the sensor need cleaning, so I will have a look inside the camera tomorrow.

I was looking forward to night shots using bulb mode too!
