New(or not very new) to K-30

Hello all, I bought my K-30 last summer, about 6 months ago. It is my first DSLR, and prior to that I've been using a Canon G9 PS camera.
I like to take pictures of the night sky whenever possible, if not anything of interests on the ground(except for humans!) would also be my ideal subject.
Prior to joining the forum, I had been looking at the reviews of the lenses section, and thanks to those great reviews I've managed to procure myself a SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4 and a Panagor 90mm Macro
In the process I traded off a Pentax DA 50mm 1.8 with the Takumar.. I think I didn't make the wrong choice, although I think the IQ of the DA 50mm is really good..

Some test shots with the DA50mm 1.8, I kinda feel sorry I have to return it.. haha

I was very surprised when I took this picture of Jupiter, I didn't realize the camera and the lens could actually resolve it's moons!

Welcome aboard! And nice pictures As you say, the 50/1.8 is a good lens, but then, so is the Tak 50/1.4. I have one (Tak) on the way, hopefully in good condition. Time will show...

Enjoy the winter skies!

Haha, I think I should have cropped it, but I thought, hey, we need the whole picture. This one should show the moon very clearly (well at least on my computer ><)
