new here

Hi all, Im new to the forum and a novice at taking any sort of photos but have had my K-r for about 2 years now. The camera is great considering i was only used to using regular digitial cameras etc(im glad i had it with me for my trip to Alaska). I hope to post some photos that i have taken with the camera since i had it and look forward to any advice, tricks or hints that would be helpful to further improve my skills.

The whale is great image, well done.

Alaska's on my bucket list and whales breaching is one of the main subjects I'm looking to capture while there.

Well the wife wanted to see Orcas and we went when they were suppose to be in the area but apparently they had a late spring so the killers didnt move that far north yet. We lucked out on this humpback because its just a baby and was playing around alot while the mother was just swimming along side. Some are graining because ive been messing with them in lightroom and maybe went alittle overboard on the sharpness.

Just based on that alone, I will put your name forward for a Nobel Peace Prize.
