Welcome/Bonjour From Quebec, Canada!

Hello everybody!

I'm a new happy owner of a Pentax K-5 IIs. I got the Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 with it because I heard it was a very good lens. Unfortunatly the first copy I got I had front focus issue so I ask the seller to get me another copy. The new one seems to be OK with -5 AF adjustment... Anyway, if I stop looking at my picture at 200%, they look pretty good! And at F4.0 it's true that this combo is very sharp!

I didn't have time to try it a lot. I think I will go to Montreal pretty soon to get some street photography shots. I find my 17-50 a little big for this but I will give it a try.

This camera seems to have so much potential, it will be good enough for me for the next 10 years! And all the lenses available for this camera are amazing and make me dream!

Welcome aboard fellow Québecker!

You will certainly enjoy this new camera with the Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 , according to posts here.

BTW: If I started to chimp my shots at 200% I'd be throwing away 99.9% of my them!

Bonjour from another Canadian, although ex-pat and homesick. (I was born in the Soo, but my father's mother is from Northern James Bay.) I'm relatively new to Pentax and this forum, and I have found the forum to be incredibly helpful and inspiring. Have fun with your new camera and we look forward to seeing some pics soon.

Bonjour

Bonjour, je suis du Québec aussi.
J'ai un K5 et j'aime bien le rapport qualité/prix, en plus d'être résistant à nos mauvaises températures !
