New to Pentax

Hello everyone I recently purchased a Pentax K1000 Asahi made in Japan Model. I'm still trying to learn the kinks of film and getting used to the manual settings, oh an the light meter which I think is cool.Once I go to Walgreen's and develop so shots I'll post them. My only problem with the camera so far is that the exposure counter seems to be stuck on 36. I don't know how to get it to read 0. If anyone out there can help with this issue it would be awesome.

Hi stryker.
Normally that counter resets when the door is opened and the protuberance on the top edge of the door pulls out of the grove just behind the counter. If some old seal material has been pushed into the grove it can clog up the lever inside. You might try clearing it with a bit of wire.

Welcome to the forums! I have never had any problems with the counter not resetting, but clickworth's advise sounds good.

Welcome to the forum, enjoy that K1000, many of us here have had at least one on those at some time or other.
