Remember Roy Batty?

Anyway, thanks for the invitation to join. Generally, it is difficult to find people dedicated to Pentax. I used a K20D for 5 years, and I still have an unused body for backup. I recently bought a K3 and I like it; lthough I find that the manual leaves much to be desired in detailed information, especially features that are new to me.

Welcome to the forum, I'd of thought as a Nexus-6 you'd have no need of a manual.

Welcome to the forum

Glad you joined the forum.

I generally find it easier to work through the menus instead of referring to the manual. For manual, I print out entire manual on one side of paper, punch holes, and in put in a looseleaf binder and add tabs for the manual chapters to make it easier to locate stuff. Then when I find a good how-to article on Forum or occasionally elsewhere, I print it out and add it to the right chaper of the manual. This way the camera is much better documented, and everything is in one easy-to-find place.

Welcome aboard! I agree that the manual leaves a lot to be desired. It tells you what you can do, but not why. I find hanging out here teaches me a lot more about my camera's abilities than reading the manual did.

Good thing he shoots Pentax with WR as he's familiar with "Tears in Rain" and running around in downpours!

Here and there.

I have been shooting a video series out in California.

Didn't you hear? My day job liked my photography/video, and now *that* is my day job!

I'm worth more to the company as a creative person than a technical one!

I've been slathering over in some other threads!

I'm hoping to get back to the UK this year...ugh 2 years without being there is getting tough!!!!

No I hadn't, that's great news, doing what you enjoy and being paid for it too.
