Hi I know it has been a long time from joining and posting,my bad,have been a Pentax owner 40 years and started digital with the K7, now am using K5iis,and am quite happy with the results hope to join in to some of the discussions.

TER-OR,i have had a look at your flicker photos very nice the only eagles that i have captured are from a long distance,most of mine are small birds,honey eaters and ducks.

I will post some as soon as I get a chance.

I need to better organize my bird photos, but there are plenty of small birds. i think the set is 'house and neighborhood' in my Flickr.
The eagles are newish to our neighborhood, we've had a nesting pair a few miles upriver which have fledged two batches of chicks over the past 4 or 5 years. They're quite the draw for regional photographers since they're easy to find in the winter when they hunt in our town. My theory is their normal area is above a cascade dam, where the water is kind of an estuary but freezes over. The river usually has some open water in our town, allowing fishing.
