Hello from Brighton!!!

Hi,

My name is Benji,
I have recently started using a Pentax Q. I am fairly new to photography but have some experience filming.
I work at a dance company in Brighton and fairly regularly get asked to take photo's and footage from the performances. Hopefully the Pentax Q will be up to the job and so far it has been great fun experimenting with it!

I have made a few animation/speed drawing films in the past and hope to continue with the new camera.
You can find my films here... on my YouTube channel

I hope to post some of my performance based images and footage here for anyone who is interested to see.
I would love to hear feedback!

Thanks for reading,

Benji

Welcome to the family! You might want to check out pinholecam's user review of the Q for some inspiration: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/136-pentax-q/194467-pentax-q-real-world-user-review.html

Welcome aboard! Definitely get the 01 prime lens, it has a pretty wide aperture for lower light shots. I'd also recommend turning off all the sounds, so you don't annoy the audience or performers. The Q is pretty much silent once you turn off the sound effects.

Thanks for the tips. I have turned the sound off already, (one of my first thoughts) and will definitely look into the lens!

Kind regards,

Benji

Thanks for the pointer Savoche, proved to be an excellent read!

Makes me want to get out and experiment.
