Hello from Chilly Alberta

I just ordered a Pentax 5 II and can't wait for it to arrive. I've been shooting a Sony A200 for the last 5 years and am very ready for an upgrade. I have a couple old lenses from my old ME, so I'm looking forward to playing around with them. I'm sure I will find this forum invaluable as I'm learning my new camera.

Welcome from snowy T.O. This is the best place to learn. And lenses on a new body are lots of fun, and also to collect as all those with lens buying addiction (LBA) will attest to.

Welcome, just one of the joys of Pentax ownership.

Welcome aboard.

You'll enjoy this friendly forum very much: full of tips, ideas, reviews, a great MarketPlace, and so on ...

I attended the U of C (way back when) and my daughter just moved there a few days ago !

Welcome here! The K-5ii is a really good camera, and with some practice those old lenses can produce some stunning results. By all means, autofocus has its place in the world, but when you have the time it's much more fun messing about with the vintage glass

Hope you'll have it soon!

Welcome but I really wish you could keep your weather on a leash. It's been roaming all over the continent--including my backyard--and I do not like it.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm anxiously awaiting the delivery of my new camera and trying to get other things done around here, knowing that once it comes, I won't be wanting to anything else. And sorry about the weather...our forecast is looking better for the weekend.
