I'm a amateur photographer getting restarted in photography. I purchased a K-x a few years ago and haven't been seriously using it, but am looking into starting up with real estate photography and perhaps portraits/equestrian photography. I'm looking forward to find out more information for the k-x, because it seems like the market is flooded with canon and nikon users. I love my k-x and would like to find new ways to use it for growing my photography portfolio. I'm currently looking at getting a few new lenses and am currently using lightroom 5 for post production.

Welcome aboard!

For Real Estate, you probably should look at some of the nice wide angle lenses available for the K-mount. There are some really nice ones available, but some are pretty expensive. I have a DA10-17 fisheye, and have rented a Sigma 8-16. Both are great lenses, but may give a bit more distortion than you really want. They're not bad at the wide end, though. A cheaper option is that 16-45 at 16mm it's pretty wide.

No shortage of options!

Welcome aboard, that's an interesting photographic mix, in each genre there are very real and very different issues to resolve, enjoy as you go along.
