Hi. I'm new member Gordon Lucas. Yup, that's my real name.
About 6 years ago I bought a K100, my first digital camera. I went Pentax because it was backwards compatible, and I had an MX and a few lenses. Most of my shooting was medium format (Mamiya C330) or large format (Linhof Kardan), so I had long since ditched my Nikons because with the bigger gear, the focus would be light and small in 35mm. I used both the MX and an Oly OM-1, and liked them both. I still have them, as well, and have since added another MX body. About 20% of my photography is film.
When I went digital, Pentax made sense. the K100 was a good camera, and I soon bought a K10 and later a Kx. I have a good selection of lenses for them. I don't shoot much except manual (still use an exposure meter), so I use my old lenses as much as the newer faves such as the 77mm f1.8 limited, and a 24-60mm f2.8 Sigma that seems to be attached to my K10 most of the time.
Thought joining the forum would be a good idea - I'm planning on buying a K3 next fall, and thought I'd share the occasional picture and pick a few brains now and then.
I'll put up a couple of shots of mine (hope you don't find this arrogant - not intended to be), as way of introduction, and we'll see you all around the forum. Thanks for looking in!
