Hello from Kansas

Hello, I am Tim from Kansas.
I have been visiting here for awhile. I have finally joined up.
Way back in the day I had a Minolta SRT 202, which I later traded in for an Olympus OM-2n.
I shot a lot of Kodachrome back then. But I did have a darkroom to do some black and white.
Anyway I have been wanting to get back into photography. I have ordered a Red
Pentax K-50 with the 18 - 135 WR lens, from a link here from Adorama It was a good deal.
That also came with a gift card and the Pentax extended warranty and a bag. I had enough money
left over to buy the 35 f2.4 lens to go with it. I thought that would be a great kit to get started.
The Pentax really offers a lot of features. The other deciding factor was the great community
here at Pentaxforums. I am looking forward to taking pictures and learning and having some fun.

Tim

Back with my Om-2n I used a Tokina 35-105 zoom so this lens will be wider and twice as long.

Welcome to PF and bonjour from France, Tim ... hope to see a K-50 image or two soon ... and the DA 35/2.4 is a great lens and bang for the buck; really like mine ... Salut, J

Thanks Jean,
The camera is backordered They say it should ship in a couple of weeks. I have waited quite a while to get one, so
I think I can wait a bit more. It was a good deal.
