Hi;

My name is Michael Ryan. I am just making the jump from analogue photography to digital. I purchased my first pentax camera in 1979. I have always shot pentax cameras.

Be kind to me as some of the questions I am going to ask will sound pretty dumb.

Welcome aboard! IMHO Pentax has provided a good system for people accustomed to manual controls. Get a model with two control wheels is my big advice.
