Hi from Denmark, Louise Fredberg

Hi, I am new to this Forum and happy to be a part of it...
I have joined the forum, because I would like to participace, contribute if possible, and ask questions.
I have had PENTAX since 1998, analoge and now digital, of course.
I have a K2000 and I have just bought my new K5 II with batterygrip. Nice to have upgraded my gear! :
Now I am facing problems using my (old) Sigma Zoom lenses.
I will try to make a post about the issue...
Thank you for letting me be a part of this forum
Regards,
Louise

Thank you, eaglem.
I hope so, I am sad if my new camerabody cannot use my lenses. I cannot afford any new lenses at the moment...

Hi Louise and welcome to you.

One of the stand-out features of the Pentax K-mount is that it will take any previous Pentax K-mount lenses, not to mention the older M42 screw-mount ones, with an adaptor. Of course, unless they're made for AE and AF, those features will require a little more work on your part. However, if they work on the K2000, they should work even better on the K-5II. If you're having trouble with your Sigma lenses, of course, you'll have to ask specific questions about the problems and the lenses themselves, as I think you've indicated you will do.

Please enjoy your time here.

Rob

Welcome to PF Louise (= Hej og vellkommen til Louise),

Nice to meet yet another Danish Pentax user!

Regarding your lens issue: Post your problem in the 'Troubleshooting Section' - giving the full name of your lens and with a photo of the mount, that may be the cause of your issue. I made the upgrade from K-200D to K-5 some years ago and, as said by RobA_Oz above, found that all lenses working on my K-200D would work even better on my K-5.

I Will make a new thread in the specific section, and I hope my problem is just because i am "newbee" using a K5 II.
Kind regards

Velkommen Louise!

Maybe Pentax is finally beginning to get a bit of presence in Denmark? I get the impression that the number of Danes in here is increasing.

Hey - maybe we will get a Danish service centre again some day.
At the moment, the only option is to ship the gear to Focus Nordic in Sweden - or like I do, buy your Pentax gear in the UK, where the service is brilliant.

I hope you solve your problems with the Sigma, I'll keep an eye out for your post about it.
