Newcomer to photography

Hi y'all, newcomer here from Tennessee. I purchased a Pentax K-3 along with the 18-135 wr and 35mm f/2.4 back in February and have been snooping on these forums ever since. I figured I would get more out of this forum by joining and participating. I look forward to learning more about dslr photography and bettering myself.

Hi BigTRex87, welcome to the Forum!
Sounds like you've got an fine start with the gear selection, a good all-arounder and one of my favorite new primes, the plastic fantastic.
Once you've used the zoom for a while, you will notice certain focal lengths that seem to work better for you, a particular framing and compositional viewpoint or two that you favor. Lightroom and other PP programs will filter by FL, very handy for this.
If you decide to add more prime lenses, there's the place to do it.
Prime lenses, regardless of age (generally) will give you options for lens speed and overall sharpness.
It's probably down the road right now, but sooner or later....LBA!
