Welcome aboard!

Use what you have until you find something you want to do better, then look for more lenses.

Welcome to the friendly Pentax forum Wendi!

It's good to know there are more Pentaxians in BeiJing! Maybe I'll see you in ChaoYangGongYuan during the weekends?

What a coincidence~
Do you settle down in Beijing?
I would like to go out at weekends, but my boss would rather let me work seven days a week~
And I am a little shy to show you my photos, because they are not very flattering。。。

Hi Wendi!

Yes, I live in Beijing since more than 2 years. I'm in the GongYuanDaDao apartments. Just south of ChaoYangGongYuan, next to the 4th Ring road East. I usually take a photo walk in the park every weekend. Now I'm in Sweden for holiday, and I will be back in BJ on May 4th. After a trip to ZhangJiajie and GuiLin

I'm sure you have some photos from BJ that you can share here? Where's your area in BJ?

Good to see that there is more Pentaxians in Beijing. I was fortunate enough to get to know zantaphia. Miss Beijing and my friends there but will soon come back during my holiday.
The K-30 is a great camera and a great introduction to Pentax. Don't be afraid to ask any questions and to show your photos. We are a friendly bunch of people here
Cheers

I'm a postgraduate in Beijing Institute of Technology, around Weigong Cun Station of Line 4~
And I guess you are a professional photographer right?
My girlfriend and I love travelling too, but we don't have so much time and money~I envy your journey very much

Although I own K30 for almost 8 months, but my photography is not improved, attachments are some photos~

Hi Josef~
Thanks for your encouragement~
one day before, I was afraid if a green hand like me will be treated with disdain~
Now I think I am wrong, all of you are very kind~

Hi Wendi!

You are doing really good!
(I'm no professional, just too many ideas, too much gear, and so little time...)

You don't need to travel far to get interesting photographs, just keep your eyes open and look for opportunities.
I think your attached images are interesting - you seem to understand how to shift from a "normal" perspective and give your audience something they don't normally see. Getting down on the ground with the flowers is a great way to do that.
