Hi Everyone

I've been a passive user of this forum for quite some time, mainly while in the process of considering purchasing a K3 - which I've done in the last three months. I've owned the *ist D, the K10D, and K5 previously. All of which I've enjoyed. The K3 is presenting me with lots of challenges. It's a significant transition. But I'm enjoying it.

Before the digital age I had a Pentax MX since about 1982. Before that it was an Asahi Pentax SV. So, you can see there is a loyalty thing going on.

I purchased a used Sigma 105 EX DG macro lens two weeks ago. I'm experiencing a major learning curve which I probably will take over to the Beginners Macro forum.

Welcome aboard, the K3 is a great piece of kit by all accounts so enjoy it, the struggles will be worthwhile in the end.
