Hi everyone. Joined the forum re having just been given to old slr film cameras. A MX and a KX. I also got 4 lenses with them.
I'm writting here what it says on the lenses casings, so there may be some info missing.
1. MC AUTO-BEROFLEX 1:4.5 f=80-200mm Ø52.
2. SIGMA Ø52 ZOOM - K # 1:4.5 f=70-210mm Multi-Coated
3. SUPER - DANUBIA mult-coated 1:2.8 55Ø
4. RICOH AF RIKENON 1:2 50mm which I think is a auto focus lens.

The MX and KX shutter appears to work ok but the shutter speed setting dial on the KX doesn't make proper/positive clicks as you change the speed, so I assume it's faulty.
Ordered some film to try out the cameras.
What sort of costs are involved with having these serviced in the UK?

Welcome to the forum, dare I say that the costs can often be more than the cameras worth.

Always get estimates first before proceeding with repairs, that way no surprises.

I was thinking it could be expensive. These cameras are very intricate, many parts. I did find one site that was asking over £300 for refurbished versions of these two cameras that I have. I suppose that's equivalent in terms of inflation to the price when they first came out, but, you were getting a new camera, not a repaired one.
