Greetings

Hello,

I'm Graham, I'm from Manchester, UK.

I've just purchased my K-500 after finally realising that my ageing Sony bridge camera actually wasn't just as good as my teenage daughter's Nikon D3100!

I went the Pentax route for two reasons really:- firstly all my friends "in the know" told me to go the Canon / Nikon route, I've never been a follower of the herd; and because my daughter told me that if I got Nikon as well I would positively not be allowed to "borrow" her gear!

I'm mostly into motorsport so will be looking out for hints and tips on that but also enjoy family trips out so will be hoping to improve on the usual days out snaps.

Welcome to the forum, funny how the "borrow" only works one way with children.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I'm still working up the courage to show any of my early pictures! There is some truly outstanding work on here and I have a lot to learn!

I know what you mean Kerrowdown, it also seems to have been forgotten who paid for all the equipment I'm now not allowed to borrow!

Incidentally, we'll be up your way in a couple of weeks; we have a weeks camping booked on the banks of Loch Ness. A photo of Nessie would be a worthy first post!
