Pro Photog from NYC checking in!

I've lurked for quite a while and I figured it was about time I register! I got my start on a Pentax ZX-M, and I'm now a professional photographer and cinematographer. I absolutely love the look of Pentax glass and SMC lenses. So, hello! I look forward to being around.

Regards

Welcome aboard, I couldn't agree more, it's all about the pixie dust...

You've some pretty interesting imagery going on there on the website.

Welcome to the Forums. That is an interesting list of gear you have. My first SLR was an Exa with a CZ Tessar 50/2.8. I can still remember the smell of that camera! I eventually replaced it with an MX but I have since bought a Tessar for sentimental reasons.

Welcome to PF. Do you use your Pentax gear professionally, or mostly for personal projects and other brands for paid gigs? I'm just curious because there aren't many Pentax pros.

Kerrowdown: Thanks! Was there any in particular that you liked? I'm always looking for feedback.

Na Horuk: I plan on it! I want to do some reviews as well.

PJ1: Yeah, I'm fortunate enough that my hobby is also my career, so it gives me a good excuse to collect all these interesting cameras. And they do have a very distinct smell, I know exactly what you mean, haha.

Deadjohn: I do! I have them attached to my Canon 60D via an adapter. The lens that's been on my camera the most lately is the Pentax-A 35-105mm f/3.5 (the "Stack of Primes").

At the time of purchase, the 60D was the best camera for the money for me. The video quality was leaps and bounds over other similarly prices DSLRs (and also why it ultimately replaced my K-r). If I were to buy another camera now, it'd be primarily for video (I have my eye on the GH4) or I'd be moving the Medium Format (about to purchase a Pentax 645 kit to have bits for a future 645DII kit).
