Hi there, new member. Am a massive fan of Pentax cameras. I'm a professional wedding photographer. I'm looking to buy a whole new set-up for the weddings and have seriously been considering a Pentax. I also do quite a bit of street photography at the moment and am looking for a something for this as well. Any recommendations guys? :-)

Matt

I'd certainly do some homework on the Pentax 645Z for your wedding work.

Perhaps I shouldn't say this here... but I'd have a good look at the Leica M9.

Hello all,

New member and virgin DSLR user/owner. Just picked up a K-2000 with 1:1.7 50mm, 1:3.5-5.6 18-55 and 1:4-5.6 50-200 lenses, full size tripod, brand new Vivitar flash, small case and a 16GB card for $300.00.

Look forward to picking brains and locating equipment/lenses here!

Learning from the ground up. Need a good beginners DSLR photography book now.

P.S. How many total post are there now? I see the contest for the FA 31mm lens and wonder if this post qualifies?

Thanks,
Rick

Congrats! Plenty of things in Michigan to photograph, too. Welcome.

FYI most new members just start their own thread. NBD though.
