greetings from austria

currently i'm using my fathers old pentax p30 i found in a cupboard 6 years ago.
i love to photograph with it, but due to the fact i don't have a photo laboratory at home it can be annoying waiting for the results of my efforts (especially when trying something new)
therefore i'm thinking about buying a DSLR, thats how i found this website.
it has been very informative and i hope you continue this good work

You might find some home development gear for sale very cheap, black and white processing is not so difficult. getting a DSLR would be a good idea, though. They're a lot of fun.

Welcome to the clubhouse .

In the US we have Craigslist, an online "want ad" type system and I see old home photo lab equipment for cheap prices, including enlargers etc. It's something I haven't done since college, but once in a while do have a little nostalgia for the process. I don't know if these services exist in Europe, but used equipment is probably inexpensive there too.

unfortunately i don't have the space to permanently establish a small photo laboratory yet.
first arranging and afterwards putting away everything is not my first choice, therefore i'm looking for photoclubs in my area at the moment to use their equipment.
additionally there would be someone around to show me everything
nevertheless i'm still planning to have a DSLR, i think it will be the K-3

A photo club sounds like a great idea, that should probably be everyone's first choice.

DSLRs are very convenient, though, and so capable now. I won't argue against the K3!
