I'm a pediatrician, living in Cancun.
I've enjoyed photography since my early years, thanks to my dad, who loved to take pictures and video (back then with a Kodak (I think) that used 8 mm film, and had to be send to another place to be developed.
My first camera was a Brownie, that use 35 mm film, and I had to save money to buy a 12 picture film, and then develop and print the pictures.
Now, many many years later, I have a Pentax 5, which came with a Pentax DA 18-55mm and a zoom lens in a kit.
I like my camera a lot, and take good care of it.
I can testify that it's weather sealed, once I took it in a boat expedition to observe the shark whale, near Isla Mujeres, in Mexico. Weather was a bit rough, and the camera received some salt water, and the it rained. Back in the shore, I pour fresh water to the camera, and clean it thoroughly. People watching me, thought I was crazy, but then I snapped a picture of them and show what a great camera it is.
I use my camera to take family pictures, and from my patients and their parents.
I like to take pictures of the early minutes of light in the mornings, flowers, and whatever comes by.
I enjoy reading the news in the forum, posts from many people, and learn from all of you when you post your pictures.
