Introducing... My father!

I got an *Ist D out of curiosity and a very good deal. Then, as it didnŽt get much use I convinced my father to use it when he goes to the country side on weekends. So I lend him the camera plus FA80-320 lens. I set the camera to Hyper Program, ISO 400 to avoid blur and told him a set of rules and RAW format for best PP capabilites:
- Choose from 1/100 to 1/500 for still subject / good camera support and between 1/1000 to 1/2000 to freeze movement or animals, with the front dial.
- Reset any change with green button
- Get leveled with your subject so you can see the background: get on the floor for dogs, kneel for kids, above trees for landscapes...
- Upload photos to Dropbox and IŽll happily process them and send you prints

He had a blast! So on our last holidays I convinced him to get a used K-7. I laso lend him the F35-70 because he complained he "wanted to get more in the frame without going so far"

On the holidays I lend him the DA21 but after seeing some of the pictures I swap it for the F28.

Here you can see him with his brand new K-7:

And here are some of his shots with the *ist D and FA80-320:

Thanks, IŽll pass it along. I do crop a little some times to re-compose or tighten the frame but his timing is really good. And itŽs also interesting that IŽve been to the same places and he sees it in such a different way than I do.

Great!
I keep cajoling my dad to get his dslr out and get shots. I'm glad to see you're succeeding.

Yes he does! Especially for these animals. He knows them since he was a kid, and some animals since they were born
