new to the forum not to pentax

Hello. New to the forum but I started with an me super back in 1983-4 and now a k30. I was reading posts on the bower 85mm f1.4 and I am not quite clear if the current pentax version includes the A aperture position (some pictures in online shops have it and others not so clear), and a focus confirmation chip. Or is the samyang version? I appreciate your help.

Welcome to the forum.

The Bower 85mm f1.4 is also sold as Samyang or Vivitar

See the in-depth review at the forum:
Vivitar (Samyang) 85mm F1.4 - Review - Pentax Camera Forums

The lens has an A aperture position.

Look forward to read your posts and see your shots.

Welcome aboard! All current samyang primes for Pentax and their rebrands have the A setting

Very happy with the bower 85 mm f1.4 lens despite the manual focus and large size for pentax standards. Excelent purchase for the price. Alternative with autofocus 3+ times more expensive. If you have reasonable time to focus carefully it is great.
