One of my friends is getting a set of Pentax cameras, lenses, flash from US from Adorama(authorized dealer).

1. Will the US warranty be honored in India?
2. What about the extended warranty(https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/94-pentax-price-watch/239239-k-3-k-5-ii-k...-warranty.html)?
3. Why is there a big price difference between US and India prices?
4. who are authorized Pentax dealers in India ( Adorma / B&H alikes)?

I have bought my K5 from Canada. Would Ricoh India provide me warranty Service ? Who are the authorized agents, dealers, distributors in India. Please guide me to any of them in Assam. I would also love clean and service my k5 and lenses by an authorized Ricoh person. What should i do ?

Hi Jaswant,

I'm located in California, USA and I have a nephew in Bangalore for whom I'd like to get a Pentax k-50 as a gift. I normally buy all of my equipment from B&H or Adorama. It occurs to me that a camera purchased in the US might be considered grey-market in India.

Will the Pentax US warranty be honored in India? Is the warranty issued directly by Pentax with no concern for country of purchase?

Also, regarding service, I would like to know, with a single service centre in Mumbai, how the camera can be repaired easily. Can the camera be dropped at any Ricoh office to be sent for service? If so, what is the procedure?

Hello Mr. Jaswant, I wanted to confirm if the Pentax India 3 year warranty would be applicable if I purchase a Pentax K50 kit from online site www.snapdeal.com. The site itself has advertised that the warranty would be applicable.

Also, any authorised reseller in Mumbai where I can buy the HD DA 55 300 WR lens?

Reply soon as I would be purchasing in next 2 days.
