Hi from Manchester

Well I'm new to DSLR and have just bought a second hand Pentax K10D with two kit lenses to get to grip with the basics before I move up to a higher end model. Have been using a bridge camera the past couple of years and looking forward to the learning curve and being part of this community

Welcome aboard! The K10D will definitely give you a solid intro into the world of DSLRs, and it's got shake reduction and dust removal, which is really nice to have.

That was my first DSLR, after reviewing the competition. I'm glad I did - I wanted a camera clearly designed for a more technical shooter. Pentax makes it much easier to use the older manual lenses, for sure.

Welcome aboard!
