Hello!

Hi everybody.
I am also a new guy on the playground of Pentax. All my lens are Pentax - mostly MF & I use brodher of Pentax K20 ... Samsung GX20. I also intend to buy K50 with WR lens.

I just want to tell you about simple trick by using MF lens on Pentax,
if you want to take photos wery fast .. almost so fast as with AF.

- put MF lenses on camera
- switch on AF (!!!)
- keep the trigger down
- turn focus ring to get the right sharpness
- camera will not take photo until centre is sharp
- when you get the best sharpness, camera automaticcaly takes a photo

With a little practice you can shoot almost fast as with AF by AF-lenses ...

Welcome, I believe the technique you describing is called "Catch-In Focus or Trap Focus", enjoy the forum.

Welcome, and thank you for the great tip :-)

Catch-in Focus is it called for the K-x. It's switched off in the K-x default settings, but once you switch it on, it works just as described!
