Hi everyone!

Hello! I am a young street photographer, a month ago i was looking for a new digital camera and this forum was very helpful to make up my mind.
Now i can grab shots of people in the street quite more easily than with my previous gear ( 5DII !)

English is not my native language so don't be shy and correct me if i misspell something or anything else.

I moved to Paris a few months ago and i have to say it's a city of choice for a street photographer.
A good balance between modern agitation and peaceful, authentic places.
After selling my Canon gear i picked up a nice Rollei 35 S with Sonnar 40mm 2.8.
I also have a Nikon FM2 with 50mm 1.8. But i missed the digital for sharing pictures so easily!

I have the original Q with the prime and fish-eye lenses. I love the prime but it lacks a real focusing ring.
The OVF-1 is very clear and sharp but i sent it back because the framing screen was tilted.

The Q is a great tool to do instant sketches as to learn film.
So if i'm feeling that a picture may looks better on 400TX or Scala200x, well i can switch to film and, great, now i know how to expose it.

The 03 fish-eye lens for the Q is very interesting indeed, i often correct it with the Pentax DA 10-17mm 3.5-4.5 ED profile in Photoshop.
I am wondering if the Ricoh GV-1 external viewfinder (21mm) could match the FOV of the fish-eye lens (18mm on the Q and Q10) once corrected?

I'am glad to be here, it seems like a quiet place to share passion and advices, see you soon!

Welcome to the forum, I thought street photography was now very difficult in France especially in Paris, under the these laws of "Chacun a droit au respect de sa vie privée."

Hello! Well, in fact it is easy to take pictures if you respect a few (sometimes silly) rules. But yes Parisian life can be difficult to capture sometimes.
I hang a lot in the subway, problem is, the subway company RATP can arrest you for taking pictures, because it could create troubles! I never had a problem but yes, it is forbidden!

@Goubeip: Hi, vive Toulouse!
