Hi gmv

I know it looks weird

what your seeing is the focal length and maximum aperture

f2 is often written or etched as 1:2

so what your seeing is aperture and focal length written as 1: aperture / focal length

the 1:2/55 you wrote is the super takumar f2 55mm lens. f2 or f1.8 were pretty standard maximum apertures for 50mm lenses in the 1960s and 1970s

1:4/200 in a similar way means f4 maximum aperture and 200mm focal length.

Takumar was the name that Pentax used for its range of own brand lenses. so your Takumar is a genuine Pentax lens. Pentax excelled at lens design and manufacture and lens coatings and the Takumar lenses are some of the very best lenses you can own.

Most camera manufacturers used unusual names for their lenses, other examples are - Yashica used the name Yashinon, Nikon used the name Nikkor, Minolta used the name Rokkor

You have excellent lenses there, they will serve you well.

I LOVE old Takumars! The 55 is a special treat. Just wonderful. Has a different look than modern lenses.
