Hello from Melbourne Australia

Been a lurker for too long. Thought I'd better join in the conversation as I've have been using Pentax cameras in various forms since the mid 1970's.

Currently I'm on a journey of discovery and re-discovery and have just completed fitting out a darkroom in my shed to develop and print B&W for 35mm and 120 film . Haven't done this for forty years but looking forward to it immensely.

Ah, that takes me back, though I confess I don't really miss dealing with chemicals. Wishing you much enjoyment though, and welcome to PF.

And here is another from Melbourne. A big welcome. I admire you film guys. I have around 2 cubic metres of slides taken over 35 years. I don't intend to add to them. I need half a day to find a specific slide if it has not been filed back where it belongs.

Thanks for the well wishes. Not so much a re-entry as rediscovery. Always had a Pentax at hand but have really become interested in getting back into serious photography. The collection of camera's and lenses have grown to the point I have to just use them or lose them.

My current passion is my 67 and darkroom setup. Hope to post some cool stuff as I get into the groove and work out how to use the forum.

I have three cameras that I regularly shoot with. My 67 is getting the most use (just love medium format B&W) followed by my K20d (for most colour work) and then surprisingly, an MZ-60. All plastic and klutzy but for some reason I just love it. It only weighs 620grams and has a really nice form factor in the hand so it's easy to grab and walk out the door with. I've had it since new (old stock bought cheap on ebay a couple of years ago) and only put about 10-15 rolls through, but for hack work it's fine. Also good practice developing film. The other cameras consist of a Spotmatic, an MEF and an MZ-5n. So I'm the proud owner of five of the beasties. Lenses, I have a collection M42 primes from 28mm through to 300mm, Most of the 67's from 45mm to 300mm (exlcuding the 165LS and the 90). Various other kit zoom lenses that have come along the way and a 50mm/1.7 and a 80~200 Takumar zoom K mount.
