Hello there!
I found this forum when I was researching the Pentax Q before buying one (a white one with the 02 zoom lens), and I'm impressed with both the technical expertise and friendliness of the forum - so much more civilised than most of the car forums I'm on! I also have a Pentax K-500 with 18-55 DA-L lens and the 50-200 DA lens.
I used to be an Olympus man (does that get me thrown off the forum??!!!) using 35mm equipment but I gave that up and sold it all off years ago and repalced it with a Panasonic Lumix compact. I also have a Canon G9, and a couple of little Minox DCCs and a Minox DSC (bought cheaply for a bit of fun).
The focal lengths of digital cameras are a bit of a mystery to me and I prefer to convert them to their 35mm equivalent. I think that for the K-500 I should multiply the focal length by 1.5 to get an equivalent to 35mm, and for the Q I should use 5.6 - is this right?
Thanks for reading
