Hello people!

Im Kirk, live in Canada. ive been into photography for 6ish years now, but havent done any for the past 2.5 years. Getting back into it again and just picked up 2 flashes for my K20D(have had it for 4.5ish years)

Look forward to posting here and getting you guys and girls to help me get back into the great(expensive) hobby!

If those are vintage flashes, make sure the voltage is OK for the new DSLRs.

Theyre new. Got the yn560iii and a ring flash. Moneys kinda tight so keeping the prices down where possible, i do have 2 old lenses that i got for 20 bucks each! Ill post up a picture of all my gear when i get a chance(leaving for vacation in 2 days, so things are a littke crazy).

And a welcome from another northerner - this one in Norway.

As hobbies go photography doesn't have to be that expensive. It can be, certainly, but shopping wisely can keep the cost quite reasonable.

I thought at first that you were located somewhere near the Nunavut !

Nonetheless, Calgary can be weird with its ever-changing weather and, like the legend says: "If you don't like the weather in Calgary, wait a few minutes and it'll change ! "
I used to live there for a while and my daughter is presently working in Calgary.

I much prefer Nova Scotia ... except for its terrible winters!
