Hello from wine country

Hey folks,

I'm new to the forum, "officially," but have been reading and learning for some time.
I am making the leap to DSLR from fixed lens digital. I have been into photography for over 30 years, started with a Nikon F with two Nikor lenses I got from a garage sale for $15.00. The camera needed its shutter fixed, which I had done for cheap. I pulled a lot of film through that camera and I learned a lot.

I am excited to take this next step into the DSLR world. There is a technical learning curve that goes with the digital version of photography, I am learning that here as I read. I will be making my purchase soon, I hope to get to know some of you as I wring out the new gear.

Cheers!

Hello and welcome . Which one are you looking at for the switch to digital?

K50 and the DA18-135WR as a package to start, then add some primes as I decide what I need.

That's a good starting point, it will let you figure out what you want to do next.

I have been considering the 18-135 . I just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
