Lens and camera need to have same lens mount for them to be compatible.
Spotmatic is m42 mount, so you need m42 lenses for it. You can adapt m39 and m37 lenses if you have an adapter ring, but you should be able to find plenty of m42 lenses, so don't bother with that. K-mount lenses cannot be adapted to m42 cameras.

Pentax K-x and P3 have K-mount. This means both of them can use K-mount lenses. Just beware that not all K-mount lenses have the same features. Really old ones do not have AF. Really new ones do not have aperture ring (needed for some older SLR cameras). K-mount cameras can take m42 lenses with a simple adapter. I recommend buying genuine Pentax adapter, but there are knockoffs, as well. Note that some of the knockoffs are good, but some are bad and can get stuck/cause problems! Difficult to tell which, as these usually have no label.

So all you need is a m42 to K adapter if you want to use m42 lenses on K mount cameras. You will not be able to use K mount lenses on Spotmatic.
