I own a Pentax Spotmatic ii and got it at a pawn shop with a very large zoom lens. I need this camera for a beginner color photography class I will be taking in the fall, but I don't know what lens to use since I am a beginner and do not know much about this camera. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You'll want to get one of these:
SMC/S-M-C/Super Takumar 50mm F1.4 Reviews - M42 Screwmount Normal Primes - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database

Essentially, any lens with a M42 screwmount will work, but you can't go wrong with a fifty for a class.
