I almost bought the 'storm trooper' back in the K-x days but ended up with a red model.
Try not to lose the storm trooper in the snow during the winter.

You need to discover Lightroom 5. Also check out Saskatchewan scenery page on Facebook. You will see that barns and old buildings are anything but boring.

Went out today looking for stuff to shoot. Admittedly, it is pretty flat and boring around here. Took a few barn shots, came home, checked them out and deleted them. Too dull and boring. I may need to explore new avenues. Got to get creative.
Remember HDR. Heavy HDR is its own genre, but light HDR can deliver stunning results. And yes, post-processing can rescue flat photos. Bumping exposure, lifting shadows, increasing color saturation etc. can all help. Then again, if the composition isn't compelling the images won't be. That's where I usually fall short - I don't always think about composition, background etc. If I'm just getting pictures of bees in the field, it's irrelevant but when I do nail a good background, that's icing on the cake.
