Coming over from dpreview

Been browsing this forum on and off while posting on dpreview.com's Pentax forum for almost a year now. I enjoyed sharing some of the knowledge I've been picking up about flash usage and general shooting, but lately I'm a little tired of sifting through endless measurebating posts, lens horror stories, and drama between established members.

Anyhow, I guess I'm an 'advanced amateur' in the fact that I've shot some promo material for a local band, and done some casual portraiture and not so casual glamour shoots. But it seems like every week I can look back at my work and see little mistakes that I know I can improve on next time, which keeps me motivated.

I've got 2 film scans in the Pentax Photo Gallery, and a bit of stuff scattered in Flickr and Photobucket. So here's a visual hello. I know I have some .jpeg compression issues with halos, but that seems to be a lightroom bug and I don't want to open up a second app just to resize every time.

Welcome to the brighter side of pentax.

Your photography work are of stellar quality and it is a great asset to the forum for sure.

"Established members" at DPR? That is an interesting way to put it.

Welcome!
I recognize a few landmarks in your images, one being the "listen" graffiti, and the other being the CN Rail building (or is it the Iron Horse?)

Anyhow, welcome!

Welcome to the forum, it's much easier to navigate and keep up with things here. Very nice work. I recall seeing the B&W portrait on PPG. Was it in the DA70 gallery?

Welcome! And nice pics!
Some people on this forum believe dp stands for "dump pentax", or something .
