Heya from, eh ... Scotland?

I've been loitering around the forum the past couple of months now and finally signed up around a week ago, so I thought I might as well introduce my self

My name is Carsten. A university student by profession and wannabe adventurer at heart, I'm usually out exploring and travelling. I spent the last couple of years living in four countries on three continents and as all of them featured quite unique extreme conditions (except for my native Germany), when I got my first DSLR three and a half years ago I naturally went for Pentax, even though I couldn't afford a weather sealed one back then Two weeks ago I retired my trusty K-r, updated to a K3 and am still impressed.

It's great to have a forum dedicated to your camera brand, especially one as active and helpful as this one, and I'm looking forward to many interesting discussions

Welcome, enjoy that K3 now that you've retired the K-R.

Thanks for the welcome! I've already posted a couple of shots around the forum (one picture of a monkey in the DA 35 f/2.4 club thread) - or do you mean I shall post pictures here? Kinda confused right now.

Sure. All of the ones are still from my K-r though. Haven't yet had the chance to take a lot of good shots with the K3, that might change in the next weeks as I'm going out into the Highlands

Here's a thread I made with night-time architectural shots I took when I was living in Canberra:

And here's the picture I posted in the DA 35 f/2.4 Club thread:
