Hello All,
Long time Pentax film user (K1000)...finally jumped off and bought my first DSLR a few years back, a Pentax K2000. My wife has been digital for a while with one of the other brands. I still wanted to be able to use all my film lenses that took me so long of a time to build up. That's when I found out about the K2000, and that I would be able to use them in a manual mode.
I love being able to shoot and shoot and shoot, not having to worry if I had the correct exposure, or enough film to last a walk-about, or PAYING for all the developement costs...just shoot what I see, delete later...
I founfd this site trying to find a simple polarizing filter for my 500mm miror lens, not happening. I found out from one of the posters who explained why I couldn't find filters..Tokina made it so! Oh well!
Now I'm looking at getting really serious about DSLR's....the Pentax K-3 Premium Silver Edition kit with the battery grip from B&H. I've read so many GOOD reviews about this new Flafship model, can't wait. Feels like being a kid again, like the time I got my hands on a REAL camera...a Graflex Century Graphic with a Schneider-Kreuznach Super Angulon Synchro-Compur 65mm wide angle lens. Only wish I could figure out a way to convert it to a digital back...now that would be a camera system!
Anywho, thanks for the welcome and keep shooting....cameras that is
