Originally posted by karl39 I've been into photography since the early seventies. I started with 120 Film cameras such as Mamyia, Rollei, etc. I eventually graduated to digital cameras, once they became more reliable, cheaper and had a better resolution (Nikon, Panasonic). I found I wasn't quite satisfied with my digital results, so I gave up photography for a number of years. I finally decided to try it again... so here I am.
I'm new to Pentax. Currently: K-5II + Sigma 10-20mm zoom + Pentax 18-135mm zoom. We will see how that works out. May change the 18-135 zoom for something longer?
Glad to be here,

Welcome!
As mentioned, you might want to look for a nice prime. Many of us enjoy them greatly and even the cheap ones are very good.
If you're into long lenses thyen I don't know nothing about that but there is a very long discussion about it
here.
