whatup pentaxians, hi from Sydney

howdy,

I'm a videographer from Sydney, mostly making digital content for TV networks. I shoot mostly on a Panasonic GH4, but my gf uses a Pentax and I'm a big fan of them. Have been using this forum a bit for advice etc but thought I'd properly say hi. So hi.

And if any Sydneysiders can give me tips as to the best places to find vintage pentax glass that would be appreciated!

Hi there neighbour

For vintage glass, you can try the Ultimo camera markets, although they can be a bit hit-and-miss.
Other than that, either the marketplace here on the forums or Gumtree.

Also look for our meetup group. We'd love to have you along.

Welcome to the forums.
So the old, "it's my girlfriend, it isn't me" excuse, eh? Maybe one day you can openly admit to it.*
Have fun on the boards either way.

* if Pentax ever catches up on video quality... *sigh*

Great tips, thanks. Hadn't heard of the Ultimo camera markets, that's awesome. Will check into the meetup group too!

Haha, yep that old chestnut. Nah, I was looking seriously into getting a K3, but I just couldn't justify it when for roughly the same price I could get a GH4..

Yeah I've noticed quite a few around here. Good to know we're not alone.
